We are on the lookout...for Greyhound models!!!

Rupert: "Kellie is searching for incredible photos to take inspiration from for her latest works. She is putting together a collection of Greyhound paintings special for Dewey Beach, Greyhounds in Art 2009. The pieces will focus on head and shoulder shots in a big scale!"

Leeroy: "If you have photos you can share with her that would be super! The best photos would be taken at eye level and with clear detail! The Greyhounds can be smiling, panting, alert and ready, or even calm magestic faces. The more the better!"
Rupert: "You can email them to Kellie and title it GREYHOUND PHOTOS! She will notify those that are being used to inspire her pieces!"
Leeroy: "This is going to be a really fun collection. A celebration of the strong, silent strength these gorgeous sighthounds have mixed in with their quirky, lovable personalities!"
Rupert: "Please submit your favorite photos by August 14th, 2009. Kellie will be working on this collection from that date until the end of September!"

Me SO Happy!!! I Woof You!

Leeroy:  "Let me tell you from the bottom of my biggest wag - THANK YOU to everyone that took the time to vote for Kellie's painting of me for the Mutt Lynch Winery label contest!  WE WON!!!   I am so excited about this!  I can't wait to see the finished bottles!  Kellie says I can't taste the wine but I would be more than happy to pawtograph your limited edition bottles for you!  The new wine and label will be unveiled in early August, and I think Kellie is going to be there.  I am now begging her to sneak me into her carry on bag.....Again, THANK YOU EVERYONE!  Rupert and I will be back soon to tell you more!  Big licks!"

Leeroy:  "I am begging you all to take a minute and vote for Kellie's artwork to win in the Mutt Lynch Winery label contest! PLEASE VOTE, PLEASE VOTE, PLEASE VOTE!!!  It's so much fun!"

Rupert:  "How cool would that be to have your face on some bottles, Leeroy?!"

Leeroy:  "I would LOVE it!  It's a great contest, there is no money for the winner but the winning artwork will be made into a label for Mutt Lynch Winery's limited edition wine that will debut at the winery's Dog Days of Summer on August 8, 2009.  This annual event includes wine tasting, dog themed art, and vendor booths to benefit the Healdsburg Animal Shelter."  

Rupert:  "There will only be 500 bottles of this exclusive wine produced and 10% of sales go to the shelter.  Also 15 limited edition prints of the winning entry will be sold to benefit the animals too!"

Leeroy:  "Kellie' submission is from her painting of me called "Leeroy Out Loud!" #19 on the survey.  She formatted the piece so that there would be room to add the name of the wine and Mutt Lynch's name.  It looks like a splash of the most colourful wine you ever tasted behind me and it tastes so good that I am singing in the most opera diva voice ever!"

Rupert:  "PLEASE vote for my little brother's artwork.  We will be forever grateful and love you long times!"

Bed Heads....

Leeroy:  "With all this rain, the whole day turns into naptime for us."Rupert:  "I can't wait to get back to the park.  I am just waiting for Kellie to say the word!"

Leeroy:  "I know, it's tough being us."

Rupert:  "All this sleeping and eating is really draining.  I don't know what to do with myself."

Leeroy:  "Maybe we should go bug Tadder cat."

Rupert:  "Hmmmm....sounds good to me."

Leeroy:  "Wish we could go bug the two kitties in this week's painting "Winston & Emma".  They are brother and sister and were born on Halloween!"

Rupert:  "Maybe we shouldn't mess with them....two against two doesn't give us as much of a chance....."

Leeroy:  "Well, Emma is pretty shy.  That's why she is painted peeking around the corner of the canvas!"

Rupert:  "I think I'll stick with Tadd.  Plus, he secretly likes wrestling with us, right?"

Leeroy:  "Sure....I bet he likes it as much as I like you picking on me!"

Rupert:  "I knew it!"

Leeroy:  "Let's go!  Then there's more sleeping and eating to do after that.  See you all next time!"

Rupert:  "Hey, hey, hey!  Make sure to book your spot to have your fur family photo taken!  Bark & Fitz Westboro and Kanata have teamed up with Suzanne Bird for a "Fur in the Family" event.  Proceeds are going to Ottawa Therapy Dogs."

Leeroy:  "There are two dates for this, so if this Saturday doesn't work for you then you can book time for the next one!  Or even drop in to see what it is all about!"

Rupert:  "The goodie bags for those who book a session are great!  There is the chance at winning a $575 original painting of your pet by Doodle Dog Paintings!"

Leeroy:  "Kellie is also giving discount cards for her original artwork...."

Rupert:  "Sounds like a really fun time for a super cause!  Hope you can make it!"

Leeroy:  "Last year Kellie donated artwork at a Montreal art auction.  This week's painting is of the winner's Rhodesian Ridgeback, Riley."

Rupert:  "Say that three times fast..."

Leeroy:  "Rhodesian Ridgeback Riley, Rhodesian Ridgeback Riley, Rhodesian Ridgeback Riley."

Rupert:  "Ok, smarty pant....too bad that's not the title of the artwork, it's actually called "Riley Roo"."

Leeroy:  "Me likey....looks like he is coming right at ya."

Rupert:  "Also coming right at ya is the new Doodle Dog website!  It will be launched on Thursday, May 7th so make sure to check it out then!"

Leeroy:  "Yippee!  The sun is out, the grass is greening, the trees are budding and things are so fresh and new!"

Rupert:  "Woohoo!  Let's go enjoy that sunshine now!  'Til next time all!  Woohoo!"

Rupert:  "Hoppy Easter everyone!  Hope the Easter Bunny is good to you!"

Leeroy:  "Yay!  A long weekend AND treats - how can we go wrong?"

Rupert:  "That's right, but remember NO CHOCOLATE for us...it is toxic to our systems!"

Leeroy:  "Oh, well...there's LOTS of other treats that we can have and I can't wait."

Rupert:  "Speaking of chocolate, look at this painting...it's "Classic Cocoa" the dachshund!  She is a wee girl with gorgeous colouring."

Leeroy:  "Now that's a kind of chocolate we can enjoy!"

Spring It ON!!!

Rupert:  "Spring is here and the warm weather is finally on it's way!!!  I can feel it, I can feel it!"

Leeroy:  "Spring is the bestest time of year!!!  'Cause we gots more sun and for another very important reason...."

Rupert:  "Yah, 'cause we will go back to the dog park soon!"

Leeroy:  "Yes, but I was thinking of something else..."

Rupert:  ""Cause our walks are longer!"

Leeroy:  "Um, yes, but still not the VERY IMPORTANT time of year....FOR ME...a SPECIAL day....FOR ME!!"

Rupert:  "What...are you starting your heartworm meds early?"

Leeroy:  "COME ON!!! NOOOOOOO....."

Rupert:  "Hmmm, well, I can't think of a single other thing..."

Leeroy:  "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!  ON APRIL 5TH IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!! I AM GOING TO BE 2 YEARS OLD!!!!"

Rupert:  "I know, I know...I was just pulling your leg....it's so funny watching you squirm!  Hahahaha!"

Leeroy:  "That's not nice.  You have to promise to be nice to me on my birthday or I won't share any treats with you!"

Rupert:  "Who says you are getting any treats?!"

Leeroy:  "Listen, big meanie, I saw Kellie getting some stuff ready this week.  Plus, she already told me I had to be patient and wait for my special day for my special stuff."

Rupert:  "Heehee....ok, squirmie!"

Leeroy:  "Hey, did you see the new stuff Kellie has posted on ETSY?"

Rupert:  "Duh...I posed with the paintings, so yes I did."

Leeroy:  "Well, some people are going to get great deals on some original artwork!"

Rupert:  "Kellie is also redesigning her website this month and is excited to get it up and running by the end of April."

Leeroy:  "Ok, peeps, the artwork featured this week is the adorable "Molly Mae I?!" and is of a fawn pug gal that makes my heart go pitter-pat!"

Rupert:  "She is stunning!  And look at her tongue!  I'd give her a kiss anyday!"

Leeroy:  "I love this blingin' little lady.  Since it's my birthday I think I should get the kiss!"

Rupert:  "Sure...make sure to wish for that when you blow out your candle."

Leeroy:  "I will for sure!  And I'll wish for sunshine, and treats, and toys, and fun!"

Rupert:  "You know what, some say you only get one wish but I say go for them all, little bro!  I can't wait to spend the day with you."
